Dear Parents and Families:
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books students want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.
Book Fair Dates: Thursday, December 12th – Wednesday, December 18th
Special Activity: Wednesday, December 18th
· Parent Only Shopping - 12:45 - 1:15pm – Buy your holiday gifts without your student!
● Parent and Student Shopping Time PJ’s and Hot Cocoa 1:15 – 2:30pm – All students can wear pajamas to school. Hot Cocoa will be served by the PTA following school while book fair is open for shopping with students.
If you are unable to attend the Fair in person, we invite you to visit our online Book Fair at : https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/homepage.do?method=homepage&url=lomaridgeelementary. Our online Fair is available from December 7th – December 20th.
Below, you will find the assigned time when your child’s class will visit the Book Fair. Children may bring cash or use the new eWallet feature. EWallet allows you to reserve a specific amount on a credit card. All unused funds are returned. This year, students may also shop during their lunch period Thursday - Wednesday only if they have money or an eWallet to spend. Browsing will not be allowed. Volunteers are critical in making the Book Fair a success. Please sign up to work a shift: https://tinyurl.com/wokvc4r. Additional help is needed during lunch, PJ’s and Hot Cocoa, set up and tear down. You can volunteer as little as 30 minutes.
