Roadrunner Staff Spotlight - Birthday Edition
Hi Roadrunners! I am Hannah Pasquale. This is my 9th year of teaching and my 3rd year at Loma Ridge. This year I am teaching the PM kindergarten class. Previously I taught in Valencia, CA and at Stone Creek and Brywood before joining the amazing staff and community here at Loma Ridge. I absolutely love working with kids every day and watching their growth from the first day of school all the way to the last day!
I grew up in Los Angeles, but I now live in San Clemente with my family. Last summer, my husband and I welcomed our daughter, Quinn. We love spending time as a family at the beach, on the golf course, taking our dog Champ, for a walk, or watching sports. I’m so happy to be back with everyone at Loma Ridge this year!
Important Reminders
Daily Symptom Screenings
As we focus on keeping our school environment safe, please partner with us by conducting a daily symptom screening at home prior to sending your child to school. Please click here for the daily screening tool and thank you in advance for your support and vigilance.Late Lunches
We know life happens and there will be times when you need to drop off your child's lunch. Please leave it in the "late lunch" bin located just outside the office door by 11:20 am. Our primary students eat at 11:30 am and our upper grade students eat at 12:05 pm. Thank you for your cooperation!
Are you interested in being a member of School Site Council?
As we begin a new year, we are seeking candidates to run for our school site council. The school site council is comprised of five parent/community members and five staff members. The unit reviews the site level action plan and is informed of the school’s expenditures that meet those actions. Additionally, our council members have the unique opportunity to learn in more detail about the inner workings of our school and activities/events that impact the education of students here at Loma Ridge.
Our council meets approximately five times per year for meetings and, when possible, walk through experiences. We will be filling the void left by two members who completed their term last June. Please email me for more information at jennaberumen@iusd.org by Wednesday, September 8th if you are interested in running for a position.

Welcome Back from our Irvine Public Schools Foundation!
As parents, you play a huge role in your students’ education at home, but you can also have an impact on what we are able to do here at school by getting involved with two important groups that support Loma Ridge Elementary School - IPSF and PTA.
We are lucky to have an active PTA and we are also very fortunate in Irvine to have a foundation that supports our entire district. This organization is called Irvine Public Schools Foundation, also known as IPSF.
IPSF provides programs to enrich every student’s experience - including afterschool and summer classes. IPSF also raises funds for many areas including music teachers, beginning in TK, instructional assistants that allow our teachers to give more individual attention to your student, and mental health resources. This support is needed now more than ever.
IPSF runs solely on contributions from parents and community. Your donations to IPSF allow Loma Ridge to hire more professionals that add to your child’s learning experience. I encourage you to support both IPSF and our PTA to ensure that our students have every opportunity that they deserve.
