Calendar Adjustment & Open House
Due to the change in format for the event, we have elected to adjust the minimum day originally scheduled for Open House preparation to a day that we thought would be more desirable for our Loma Ridge families and staff. Please adjust your calendars to note these changes.
Thursday, April 29th: Regular Day schedule
Friday, May 28th: Minimum Day schedule (grades 1-5 will be dismissed at 1:25 pm)
IUSD Stimulus Funds Input Survey
The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) would like to gather stakeholder input to determine priority actions for using Federal and State stimulus funds through a Stimulus Funds Input Survey. The survey is now open through April 23.
The District would like to encourage our families, staff and students to take a moment to complete this important survey. Your responses are critical in providing feedback about in-person instruction supports and learning recovery for students including academic, behavioral, and social emotional supports and where State and Federal COVID-19 Relief Stimulus Funds may be focused starting this summer and through the next school year.
This interactive process helps IUSD identify priority areas and take action on those identified priorities as part of the COVID-19 recovery process for our district. To take the parent survey now, click here.

Roadrunner Staff Spotlight
Hi! I'm Ms. Wright, the vocal music teacher. 🎵 This is my first year of teaching after graduating from Cal State Fullerton. Along with singing, I love to play piano, guitar, and ukulele. Some of the most important things to me are my family and friends, my cat Lucy, and teaching! When I'm not at school I like to play games, watch TV, and go to the beach. One of my favorite things about this year is getting to know my students' interests - from Roblox to Riverdale, so hopefully now you know a little more about me!

Reminders
Tardies - We would like to press upon our families the importance of students arriving to class on time in IVA. A student that arrives late to class may feel anxious or embarrassed (think of it as arriving late to an important meeting). When a student arrives late, the teacher needs to stop what is happening in class to get the student caught up, which causes delays in instruction for all of the class.
IVA Hours - Although one of the benefits of IVA is asynchronous learning, please make sure that your child is available between 8:30 am-2:45 pm daily. Your child is responsible for attending Zooms and working on independent work during these hours, the same way they would be expected to be on campus at a site between those hours.
