Traditional & Hybrid Model Families - Reminders for Monday
In preparation for next week, I wanted to provide a couple of reminders. First, don't forget that we are starting our regular drop-off procedures on Monday. This means that our side parking lot will be CLOSED FOR PARKING. The side lot will be available for drop-off & pick-up for families of kinder and first grade students as well as for buses. Rainbow Rising also has dedicated spots in this lot and those parking spots will be the only ones that will be utilized for parking.
In both lots, please pull up to the curb, stay in your car and prompt your child to exit the car through the curbside door. Staff will be in both lots on Monday morning to welcome your children to school and to ensure the proper procedures are followed so the traffic flow is smooth and the environment is safe.
We also have a special request. If you have a younger child in a car seat that typically sits on the passenger side backseat of your car, please consider moving it so that your roadrunner can easily access the car from the curbside. Also, if you'd like your child to access a booster seat upon entry into your car, please consider placing it on the passenger side of the backseat so that it can be easily accessed as your child enters your car from the curbside.
Finally, I wanted to share an excellent idea that I got from a parent today at pick-up. She communicated that she'd be happy to create a sign with her child's name and grade level on it so we could easily see who she was picking up from school. This is a great idea that could make our pick-up line move even more efficiently so please feel free to make a sign if you are so inclined.
Again, thank you so much for your cooperation and support!

Roadrunner Staff Spotlight
A Message from Nurse Crowley
We are looking forward to having your child back on campus in person very soon. Our entire staff has been working diligently to ensure a successful return for each student. In that preparation, we are implementing measures to bring students and staff back safely. We hope that you will partner with us in our efforts for a safe return.
Daily Home Screening
Attached you are receiving a Daily Home Symptom Screener. Please ensure that you go through the symptom screener with your child before leaving for school every day. If any symptoms are present in Section 1, or if they have been exposed per Section 2, it is important that they do not come to school. It is essential that a parent calls the attendance line at 949-404-1401 to notify the school that the student is staying home due to illness.
Illness on Campus
If a student becomes ill on campus, it will be necessary to send the student home immediately.
This year we are taking extra measures to slow the spread of any possible illness by asking
that parents pick up students promptly after notification that your student is ill. In the event that a parent or guardian is not able to pick up immediately we recommend that a backup plan is in
place for another adult to pick up the student in a timely manner when parents are unable to do
so. Students with symptoms of illness will be waiting for parent pick up in an isolated area away
from non-ill students. We ask that when picking up an ill child from school, parents wait in the car at the curb outside the front office. Please call the health office at 949-404-1411 once you
arrive at the curb and a staff member will walk your student out to you. You will be provided an
Illness Notification form that will provide guidelines for return to school.
Illness Prevention
We have implemented many measures over the past several weeks to ensure that students and
staff have the resources they need to stay healthy including:
Increased access to hand washing and sanitizing
Required cloth face covering or face mask while on campus
Physical distancing in the classroom and in common areas
Increased air filtration in indoor spaces
We realize that this year is going to look different in many ways but there is one thing that will
never change; our dedication to “maximizing learning and enhancing healthy lifestyle in a safe environment”.
Welcome back!
